About Us

We are a tax exempt, 501(c)3 public charity.  Our origins begin at Baylife Church in 2001, when a group of men were seeking a way to excite the hearts of young people for something besides video games.  Believing paintball was just the sport to steel the hearts of youth who were trying to live as Christians in a broken world, our ministry took birth.  More than 10 years later, we are still exciting the hearts of people with paintball (both young and old, male and female!) and even better, we use the sport to raise funds for 4 local charities.  Visit the charities tab on the main menu for more information on those organizations.

One thing we are sure about:

There is a crisis in our society. C.S. Lewis identifies the problem in *The Abolition of Man*, which he penned in 1944. He writes, “And all the time – such is the tragic-comedy of our situation – we continue to clamor for the very qualities we are rendering impossible. You can hardly open a periodical without coming across the statement that what our civilization needs is more drive, or more dynamism, or _self-sacrifice_, or creativity. In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without [souls] and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful” (475).

We agree with Professor Lewis.

We are also certain, that:

It ISN’T about us. Rick Warren writes in his best-selling book, *A Purpose Driven Life*, life is not about ‘me’. The Warriors for Christ believe that ‘me’ is simply another expression for the selfishness that pervades our society today. Rather, we agree with the Apostle Paul who writes in Galatians 5:6, “The only thing that matters is faith expressing itself thru love”.

Over time, we have settled on the following basic principles for guiding all that we do:

To aid widows and orphans in their time of distress. ~James 1:27

To exist as living examples of “Warriors for Christ”. ~James 1:14-17

To live in peace with everyone. ~Romans 12:18

To serve selflessly!

And…we believe in having fun!

Selfless Service!

To this the Warriors for Christ pledge our Sacred Honor.

The Warriors for Christ PURPOSE STATEMENT is:

To show our faith thru actions expressing love. (Galatians 5:6)

To aid widows and orphans in their time of distress. (James 1:27)

To enrich the souls of men so they can be virtuous and men of enterprise. (Lewis)

To encourage and mentor young men to enter the ranks of true manhood. (Lewis)

To exist as living examples of “Warriors for Christ”. (James 1:14-17)

To use sports to excite the spirit of challenge and adventure that lies within the hearts of men.

To use paintball as a ‘signature’ event/sport, demonstrating the ‘Wild at Heart’ mindset that men seek as the focal point to the development of a pure soul focused on service and selflessness.

To field a team of paintball players to compete on the highest levels of tournament play, both scenario and air-ball, exemplifying the Warrior’s ethos in the arena of paintball combat, playing with integrity, sportsmanship, and excellence.**
