AWESOME Field Repairs By Stevie!

What a blessing – vandals destroyed most of the field at Fishhawk after years of standing unbothered, and along comes soon-to-be Eagle Scout Stevie Cilenti to the rescue. Now thanks to his Eagle-Scout_1DSCN2832efforts, and the willing hands of more than 50 volunteers, the project is done and the field is more than repaired. Indeed, the field is greatly improved – and we are going to have an awesome game for New Horizons in late April (26th) to celebrate (and raise funds, of course!). We are looking forward to anointing the new field.

We simply cannot thank Stevie and his troop enough for their heart for service. We are also extremely grateful to all the businesses who contributed materials to the cause, and to those adults and kids who showed up on two Saturdays in March to make this happen.

With gratitude we note the following businesses that donated materials and food:

84 Lumber Plant City (WOW – Amazing Donation!)

East Brandon Home Depot

Intercity Lumber

Riverview Home Depot

Southern Pine Lumber Mill

TECO

Sweetbay

Bloomingdale Pizza

Fishhawk Pizza

Jets Pizza

Todd Goodson

WFC2 looks forward to many big game benefits, and tens of thousands of dollars raised, in significant part due to the efforts of this Boy Scout. Thank you again Stevie, your excellence as both a young man and as a servant are exemplary! We are grateful for your Eagle-Scout_P1020099aselection of our charity for your Eagle Scout project; while in some ways fun, this project required an enormous amount of planning, organization, leadership, and hard work. You made it happen, and for that we are blessed!
