Fallen Heroes Raises $2700.00

THANK YOU  to all the players who made Fallen Heroes a huge success.  What an amazing day of paintball, with dudes (and dudettes) rolling out of the landing craft to start the day, and things never stopped from that point.  Awesome missions were run by the teams, with both commanders rallying their troops to play inspired paintball.  Thanks to James “Crash” Greco and Jester for leading the teams. Although Greco’s team “won” the fact is everyone is a winner because all the money we raise is going for a good cause; kinda makes getting lit up worth it, and feel better!

As always, we thank God for all he does to make our efforts successful.  We also offer a GIANT THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS!  We appreciate GI Sportz providing paint, including the first twenty cases for free!  We also gratefully acknowledge sponsorships from Gideon and Greco Plumbing and the Veterinary Center at Fishhawk, as well as Jester who threw in a $100 value free scenario game at Operation Overlord – thank you!  And finally, thank you to Tikis Paintball, who helped in so many ways including bringing the portable compressor, delivering paint, and providing the give-aways including guns!  Again, thanks so much to everyone who helped, volunteers and other servants, and the players who made it happen!!!

Finally, the money will be split between two deserving Fallen Heroes:

Corporal John Belk of the Tampa Police Department, District 3, who is battling a serious medical condition.  This particular game continues to honor the memory of our fallen friends Jeff Kocab and Dave Curtis, for whom this memorial game is named.  As a result, we are reaching out to help a fellow comrade of Jeff and Dave.  Cpl Belk works in the same district as Jeff did, and we will pray for renewed health for Cpl Belk.

CW2 Romy Camargo, a Army Ranger who was injured severely on his third tour of duty on Afghanistan.  This true American hero was gravely wounded in the neck and is a quadriplegic; yet he continues to serve his country in uniform and is an inspiration to any person who knows his story.  He lives here in Tampa, and we are honored to be able to serve him and his family in some small way.

A proud player and raffle winner!
